MLH should realize that Phil Spector carried Let It Be through its theatrical release itinerary.
Spector's finesse was not without ambition. He just wanted to write Phil+Ronnie in the dead wax of the Let It Be album.
That was enough.
The Long Tall Sally must have been the moment they realized security needed to be the prime consideration. The crowd really screws the performance up. The crowd might not have realized what the band was doing but TV audience couldn't miss the prerecorded failure.

Who is the person who does the count-ins to the Hey Jude and Revolution videos? He does sound quite camp (MLH? Doesn't really sound like him to me and it's definitely not one of the Beatles). You can hear Paul taking the mickey out of the man's voice while they're waiting to start one of the takes of Revolution (though he does do it really quietly, but not quiet enough for the mic to not have picked it up!) Anyone know?

I've always assumed the count-ins were pre-recorded on the tape copy used for playback. If that scenario is correct, it would likely narrow it down to the EMI engineer or assistant who prepared it at Abbey Road.

Without ANY proof...I'm certain that both count ins are by Paul. It is definitely one of three people(JPG). I would expect to find a count in on the tape of all dedicated takes of the backing track. The chosen take must have a reference point for the sake of alignment during assembly. Despite a variety of textures, spirit and hype, the count in is never part of the song but merely a measured location that occurs before any music starts.
