11th Allsop Place/ Teignmouth :
According to The Beatles Anthology book they should start at 7:30 am at Allsop Place, Lewisohn points out in The complete Beatles Chronicle ‘ it eventually arrived two hours late’ although Lewisohn put the original time for departure at 10:45 it could be the actually departing time seen the original start at 7:30.
Virginia Water an hour later, approximately 11:45? (Slate 1 take 4 is 11:35, and Mandy is seen at 11:45 so there is a little ‘conflict’ about timing but the filming looks like near Virginia Water) Little Nicola on her mothers lap sees a road sign (white cross) and perhaps a bridge, so a footpath perhaps?
By the end of the day they were in Teighmouth ( By bus or car) and there was a drizzle for four hours, so perhaps the ‘rainy day’ captures were in the second half of their journey….
In the original MMT there is a ‘filler’ shot when Mandy asks the passenger look out the window; you can spot a AA- box…..
Any ideas ......

The location is here, so from the 13th on the way to Widdecombe. The building on the side of the road in the Mandy shot has gone but is present on the old OS maps. (Unless the clapperboard is in the same continuous shot I would take them all with a pinch of salt).

Nice one; so the 13th…. ( I’m trying to forget the slate’s…. ) toen I’m confused over the date; shouldn’t it be the 12th ?
Then slightly further on in the footage there are some works/factory buildings in the background. It looks to be part of the same location but there is an edit just before this, possibly/probably also on Plymouth Road ??

So hard to be sure when the image is so blurry, but possibly Courtenay Road, in Teignmouth?

Yes, as you say it's a difficult one. Not sure about Teignmouth as the road seems to be on an incline judging from the front gardens walls.
I thought it could be Wooton Grove in Sherborne but the front gardens don't look long enough:
These are better captures of what presumably is Plymouth Road or thereabouts (although we can't rely on any continuity). Quite substantial buildings in the background.
It's a difficult one to get exactly - certainly near Marsh Mills. There seems to be no trace of any of the buildings in the background now, and old photos of the area don't seem to include anything resembling them. The clue would then be the hill in the background, which also doesn't seem to exist either.
It could be further back along Plymouth Road towards Plympton, but you would see a continuous ridge in the background from there, not a hill. My conjecture would then be that it is further down Embankment Road, possibly even as far down as the industrial estate on Gdynia Way, and we are seeing one of the hills behind Plymstock, on the other side of the river.
Very hard to know for sure as so much of the area has since been redeveloped beyond recognition.
