Excellent work Tunbridge. I'm pretty sure now that it's the old Tecalemit Factory that was at Marsh Mills. So the chronology of this footage is correct for a change and it's Plymouth Road before the turn left onto Embankment Road.

The Tecalemit Factory was actually beyond the left turn off for Embankment Road, and would have been on the right hand side of the bus - so it would appear that they may have overshot this and have had to turn around (briefly traveling east) for the factory to appear on the left, as it does in the footage. This would then explain the hill in the background, which looks like the one that now has an artificial ski slope on it.
They would then take a right to get onto Embankment Road, passing some more industrial buildings now demolished and replaced by a large Sainsbury's and the flyover.

Yes this is the old Tecalemit factory! it looks as though they have looped the loop around Marsh Mills roundabout for the buildings to be on the left. Maybe the driver was in the wrong lane and they were heading towards Tamar Bridge via Crownhill and Barne Barton so went around the roundabout again so he could exit left down Embankment road towards Plymouth Hoe.

Yes, that would make sense, they do seem to be turning around. There is a single remaining white semi detached house to the north east of the site that I think is visible on the footage.

But so difficult to be exact as the whole area has changed so much

Great find!

Perhaps roadworks? The route of the bus seems still possible...

Haven't been able to find this one though Teignmouth does seem likely. The pillars are quite distinctive. Looks like a pub or hotel. The bus seems to be on a gentle downward slope.

I've always wondered who the character on the right was though. You see him in some of the other footage. He always reminds me uncannily of Zammo Maguire, the heroin-addicted schoolboy in 1980s children's TV series Grange Hill.

There is also another character who looks a bit like John, seen on the left here. He's very conspicuous in the chip shop scenes.
