It's almost as if they're playing on the back of a lorry during a village fete.

Maybe it's their spin on Jerry Lee Lewis' scene at the start of High School Confidential ;)

Lord R - I hope you don't mind if I jump in on your thread. I have a similar VHS (Ready Steady Go - Special Edition) from 1985. Featuring different performances such as Shout, Can't Buy Me Love, the 'Medley' and others on 20 minutes of goodness. Not sure if it's already out there but it's good to have them in one place.

I also have a 'Ready Steady Go' 52 minute compilation taped from Channel 4 on VHS. This features the performances but with some extended chat (such as Dusty's chat with George about the plane door opening and his wig - she also asks about his guitars etc). It's probably all been seen before but if anyone is interested ....
Nimbus is it your own rip?
Yes. This is the source of 'Ready, Steady, Go - Special Edition'.

But as Dannysonar states, it's been mislabelled. I didn't realise it was not RSG.

The 52 minute compilation is also my rip, from Channel 4 in the 80's. That is RSG.... I think.
In that case can I ask if you have a rip of it with lossless audio? Either with the video or just the audio track?

Sorry but I copied these over from VHS about 15 years ago. I no longer have the tapes or a VHS recorder to play them on.

Ah shame. It was issued on Laserdisc as well...so the ultimate rip would be from that with lossless audio...I can dream can't I.

What is it you are after, the 'Ready Steady Go' official tape or the Channel 4 special?
I still have the official tape and a hifi VHS player to play it. I can probably make a lossless copy of the audio.
Most of my links are to OneDrive. However, OneDrive does impose a download limit and when this is reached displays a message that the files are deleted or have expired. Leave it a while and try again later.

Thanks Phil.

Its the official 'Ready Steady Go!' and 'Ready Steady Go! Special Edition' releases I'd like to have with lossless audio...or just the lossless audio. I think Nimbus's share is the 'normal' one but either is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Ok, this is the copy I have.

It has been some time since I have captured audio directly but I'll dig it out over the weekend and have a go.

I have this old VHS tape somewhere too, although listed as RSG I believe the footage is from the 'Around The Beatles' TV Special the rights of which were probably picked up by Dave Clarke.....maybe someone else could conform this?
