Ai applied to music

Post by addsfsds »

Hello everyone!

Some days ago an Oasis fan started uploading some AI modified Oasis songs to youtube.

To my ears this sounds incredible and the potential is great.

He basically created a model of Liam Gallagher's voice from the early '90s and applied it to songs he never sung and even to more recent exhibitions. He also explains how this works in the description.

I think that with all the stems available from Rockband something is feasible for Beatles too! What do you think?

I leave here some examples:

I still haven't recovered from an old Oasis blurb about Noel buying John Lennon's talisman necklace(Two Virgins) and giving it to Liam as a gift. The article speculated doubt about the well-being of the one-of-a-kind Beatles artifact. "I haven't seen it since I gave it to him. I don't think he ever even wore it".
THAT's why I love to not use alcohol. Also, Liam needed a new vocal gimmick long before What's The Story. Noel needed a new Liam long before that. Too many mentions of Abbey Road Studios as if we can actually blame the gun. It's unloaded! Too many 'shots'. So, at least two of their albums will always have status. I keep seeing Liam standing in front of the mirror as he tries to recognize a girthy pot belly around his 501 button-up LEVIS. That's the melody...that will Live Forever.
(It did sound like Liam) Thank you, addsfsds!

It can be spectacular but it is all fake and will remain that way. To restore part of a damaged unique recording would be ok if clearly stated.

And if the software can reproduce a voice it cannot reproduce a performance. And how would the software tackle Paul´s voice anyway ? His range was so large and varied...

I would actually like to hear the released version of Oh Darling in John's voice. He always claimed he could do it better.

I know it must be a huge disappointment to find no 'JAM', Riff, In Flight, Blaze settings on the effects box!
Then again, I always thought CASIO would have added a 'PORN' rhythm pre-set in the list Rock, Jazz, Polka...
Who the hell is running this show!?!

We will have our hands full with 12 LPs, 22 singles and an EP or flexi.

Hmm. That is better than I expected.

Also quite depressing. I can forsee a music industry where record labels use AI to write and perform music for the masses at minimal cost and maximum profit. The music of today is so derivative and robotic that AI could surely replicate it, it's just a matter of time.

In the future, pop music will be like junk food. Somehwere out there is the Ray Kroc of music, waiting for his moment.

Maybe Roger Waters or Paul McCartney could use this for their live shows.... :-)
