Lucille (clean intro)

Post by Lord Reith »

I was always slightly annoyed by Brian Mathew talking over the start, because he says the fabs are paying tribute to the Everly Brothers.

So here it is, with a clean intro. Deintrofied, so to speak.

Thanks Lord Reith. It'd be good to hear this also with the introduction preceding this deintrofied Lucille, if you know what I mean.

Thank you Lord Reith! I've been trying to do this with some other artists appearances on the BBC using demixing. Most times it works. Been trying to do that with the Lost Lennon Tapes radio series but it's quite frustrating. For some reason you can still hear Elliot's voice in the drum isolations.

Wow, that´s nice! I´ve never thought of that!
It almost feels like something´s missing!

Old fans from my hometown will remeber Alvorada Beatles Club radio show. They used to play rare tracks we didn´t have in Brazil, such as B-sides and stuff. But because nobody´s that good, sadly, they used to insert some trademark singing voiceover or something like that in the middle of the songs.

To this day, whenever I listen to "Back on my feet", I prepare myself for the long "Aaaalll...voooooo... rAAAAAAAAAA...Da" over Paul´s singing! The outtake of "Can´t buy me love" used to be a victim of this too before "Ultra rare trax" and "Anthology" days.

People used to be a little jealous about their rarities archives. I´m glad those days are over.

Thanks, LordReith and all fellow froumers for such a wealth of great shares like this!

A few seconds of 1963 being uncovered is more exciting than a whole month of 1969. Thank you!

Much better to use as a standalone track now. I like it both ways within each context (radio show, standalone track).
You guys are great at this stuff, I really appreciate your work.
Thank ya Lord

Thanks guys. I should point out that this is an edit, not a demix. But it was done very carefully and the difference is negligible. Normally I'm not bothered by Brian's intros but the Everlys mention is just plain wrong.
