I'd always wondered why he used it so briefly. It's seen in Ready Steady Go where he proudly states he'd just bought it, and then after that it vanishes without trace!
Reading that book about 1963 it says it was stolen from a car outside a gig. If this is true, was it ever recovered or is someone sitting on a priceless bit of memorabilia, too afraid to say so?

Given to George Peckham, cutting engineer and a (non-original) member of The Fourmost. Sold at auction a few years back
