Josie & The Pussycats go to Abbey Road

Post by mojofilter »

This is a picture from 2016. Apparently, Archie Comics was going to introduce a new series of comic books on the Archie spinoff "Josie And The Pussycats," originally a cartoon in 1970, and a live-action movie in 2001. There are several proposed designs for the cover of this comic book on their website. I thought you'd find this one familiar. Note that one is barefoot and walking out of step with the others.

Actually, they DID launch the book. This was one of the variant covers, drawn by Marguerite Sauvage.

DC & I think Gold Key did Comics for Josie & The Pussycats

Hanna-Barbera did the cartoon in late 60's early 70's

I think Post Cereal did Rear box flexi's, like they did with Archies & The Monkees

Usually 4 records

The records were 7" vinyl singles, four in all, made by Capitol Creative Products.

Josie & The Pussycats are exclusively Archie Comics characters. Always were... always will be. Never any DC or Gold Key.
