Are there any recommended alternatives? I liked how the listings would specify if they were audience or soundboard.

DimeADozen, LosslegsLegs, ZombTracker (?). Demonoid is alive. Guitars101. SoulSeek. Certain things, same as on TTD, are on [not allowed], but not too many (I mean DVDs). PinkRobert is your friend if you're not picky about lineage.

It won't be over, a new site is started on the basis of a ProBoards forum. (A pity about the main site. Though I am happy right now - grabbed yesterday a Thin Lizzy torrent of demos and sessions which eluded me for years.)
