Making vocals sound younger?

Post by Lon Chaney III »

Been listening to a lot of Dylan again in fact listening to Blood on the Tracks right now. I love his Rough and Rowdy Ways album but of course his voice is pretty much shot. With the advances that have been made in audio mixing applications I wondered if there was any effects that can make a voice sound younger. I'm imagining R&RW with a Dylan voice from years past. There is probably nothing like that yet but I had to ask.

I played with pitching up some of Paul's more recent vocals and the "young Paul" was still in there somewhere. It would be nice if someone could do a proper job of that using isolated tracks.

Yes just use the pitch change (not speed change) in audacity. One semitone higher will do it.
