Re: The Big Freeze: Winter '63
Many thanks Lord Reith, really appreciated! I remember the stories about it Robert
However, the video is very jerky, like a bad animated film. But still, the soundtrack is fine.

i was told that this version, that I sent to beatlesnyttight via pm (i had assumed uploading it here would not be acceptable), was better than the other version posted here

Not sure why, it certainly isn't jerky for me. Some compatibility issue I guess.
Re: The Big Freeze: Winter '63
Here's a nice companion piece, Dylan in the Madhouse from BBC Arena. It tells the story of the then-budding American folk star's blizzardly sojourn in London and unlikely involvement in the (sadly lost) January, 1963 BBC television play, The Madhouse on Castle Street. The program (trashed in 1968) also contained the first televised performance of "Blowin' in the Wind," as well as a short Dylan rendition of the "The Ballad of the Gliding Swan." Audio of the latter (recorded by a viewer of the original broadcast) is featured here over the program's closing credits.
