Quick video looking into the extent of John's heroin use

Post by Bettinahamburg »

I didn't do any speculating myself, all the facts and research is from 'Riding So High' by Joe Goodden and the excellent 'John Lennon: 1980' by Ken Womack. The Womack book is genuinely amazing in every way, enlightening - he had access to John's audio diary and just amazingly written and structured.

The video is pretty amateurly made as far as the editing and all but I'm more focused on getting as much of the truth as possible out there in a more accessible way.

I think John was ashamed of his heroin use. He boasted about taking lsd, dope and speed but always played down his use of heroin. I'm thankfull to him for that, given that many people including my own nephew have died from this wretched substance. A positive endorsement from John could have led millions to it.

John Cooper Clarke said "Heroin is fun, then it's not, then it's hell."
