I would think they'd only restore the parts they're going to use.
Mind you, scanned from the original negatives it would look pretty damned sensational without any cleanup. The only sad thing is they're going to crop everything for widescreen. Kind of like one step froward and two steps back. It should be left in its original aspect.

Original films and tapes in London vault, Peter and team in New Zealand. Has anyone discussed the mechanics of this? I suspect the materials were digitized in London before editing began in NZ. No way all that stuff was physically relocated.
