Hey, Gang -
I'm not sure if this has already been mentioned... but apparently, since their split with Amazon Prime, HBOMax is trying to rebuild their customer base with a limited time, half price discount thru September 26. That means it's now $7.49 per month for the first six months, which will easily cover the time frame to see Peter Jackson's new GET BACK documentary in November.
My only question is whether this will be for online viewing / streaming only, as opposed to through a cable TV service.
I'd be curious to know your thoughts on this...
Anywho, here's the deal itself:

And here's an article about the 50% offer:
HBO Max has departed from Amazon Prime, losing about 5 million subscribers in the process. In response, the streaming service now is slashing its prices in half, to $7.49 per month for the first six months of any new subscription.
The offer, which you can sign up for here, is only available through Sunday, Sep. 26. If you act fast, you can sign up for one of the best streaming services on the market for a fraction of the cost.
The discount can be accessed through the official HBO Max website, along with devices from the service’s distribution partners, which include Apple, Google, Microsoft, Sony, LG, Roku, and Vizio. HBO Max will also remain available through Amazon Fire TV
Subscribers who sign up for the discount will receive the premium ad-free package, which normally costs $14.99 per month, for 50% off. Other plans, like the annual subscriptions or the ad-supported tier, are not affected by the discount. This means that, until Sep. 26, HBO Max’s best tier will be the service’s cheapest plan.
HBO Max offers around 13,000 hours of TV shows and movies on-demand. While much of its library comes from HBO, the service also features material from dozens of other channels and studios, including DC Comics, Adult Swim, Studio Ghibli, TCM, and Crunchyroll.
The service offers up to five viewer profiles, with tons of curated selections for adults and kids, the option to download content, and the ability to stream on many devices.
Most cable providers include the streaming service if you already pay for HBO as a premium channel.

Re: See GET BACK doc on HBOMax for 50% off!
Well, that certainly solves THAT problem!
Thanks, CultTVman! Clearly, I'm having one of those days...
