I received my copy today and, boy, am I excited!
This is a Lewisohn- and Madinger-type book detailing the first five years of Paul's solo career, the first volume in a series. The authors conducted hundreds of fresh interviews with key people, and the book features loads of previously-unseen documents and details, such as recording dates, especially those in Lagos for BOTR. The book is also a great read, thanks to Allan Kozinn's prose (I presume it is Allan's), painting a comprehensive picture of Paul's life at the time, à la "Tune In".
I haven't finished the intro but I can already tell it's going to be one for the ages.
If other members have started on it, I'd love to know what they think!
(On a side note, Allan and Adrian, I'd be honoured to proofread the portions of the text pertaining to France or the French language for the next volumes -- you spelled "Centre culturel" wrong!)
