GET BACK Blu-Ray Kicked to Summer 2022

Post by lordsnooty »

Just got an email from the U.S. Beatles store:
We also want to sincerely apologize that there has been yet another delay in the production and fulfillment of this media. Due to these supply chain issues, the release date for this item has again been delayed to the summer of 2022. We wholeheartedly apologize for the continued delay, and any inconvenience this may cause. We love "The Beatles: Get Back," and we look forward to sharing a new release date soon.

So from June 21 to September 22 according to Google (I live in Australia). I'm patient but hope it'll come.

So the perception that the release of the original (remastered) Let It Be was being held off until later in the year so as to not over-dilute the market falls by the wayside. There's no way they're going to release both Get Back AND Let it Be in late summer early fall.

I'm not holding my breath for a Let It Be release this year or next.... :(

What about the extended cut? I remember Peter Jackson said we should tell Disney if we want one.

It beggars belief that no-one ever checks these things before they go to the manufacturer. How much would it have cost to have a handful of reliable people check test copies? A couple of grand? Instead they waste countless thousands pressing copies, sending them to shops, and then recalling and pulping them all before starting from scratch again.

So incredibly inept and disorganised.

Are humans really involved?
I would imagine market forces are not only predictable but dictated by algorithmic scheduling...
as well as magnetic puff and spin.
Did HAL really cheat at chess?
Would a fictitious mishap generate an increased demand more than
an uneventful or premature release date?
All retail products must have dual potential as taxable revenue(gain/loss).
There is barely enough money in the budget to run a fake story about manufacturing errors.
To think competitive marketing could actually endure such critical inefficiency is pure fantasy.
Get Back is more than four years of Peter Jackson's efforts. It must have equal amounts of strategy invested.
Profits will be maximized even if they are technically 'business losses'.
The marketing potential is multi-pronged affair that requires a certain amount of chumming the water.
When done properly, no bait, or hook is needed.
If the fish learn how to jump in the boat...expect more boats!
If the result is just a feeding frenzy, then a purple chick or a yellow dog may be called in as consultants.
Get Back has the potential to redefine Beatles Merchandising.
Chum the water...
Or, call Disney on the phone.
If you do call...just say "I'll jump"!
Get hooked!
Get hooked!
Thank you, Lord Reith!

Is there any truth that the Japanese have the Peter Jackson Get Back docuseries on Blu-Ray?

Will this EVER see the light of day

The Beatles ‘Get Back’ documentary by Peter Jackson officially delayed indefinitely?

Australian retailers (and we assume retailers also in the rest of the world) received the following notification today.

We have just been informed by Disney that the below title has been delayed indefinitely, due to authoring challenges:

162580 – BLR The Beatles: Get Back

Our order with Disney has been cancelled and we are instructed to re-order once a new date is set.
We recommend you do the same via your All Interactive Distribution login.

We will endeavour to update you, once we have confirmation on the new release date
