Sorry to sound ignorant, but what’s this Spacial Audio I’m reading about, and does it require special equipment or software to playback correctly? Thanks

Spatial audio is some kind of new Widescreen audio or 5.1 which is on Spotify and the LIB Blu-ray disc. I don't think you need special equipment.

Essentially Apple’s take on Dolby Atmos for Headphones, spatial audio is designed to deliver surround sound and 3D audio through headphones basically, or "mock 5.1 audio for bi-naural devices".

Please do not confuse this with the audio on the BluRay Let it Be SDE, the BD only contains HD Audio and Real 5.1 mixes but not spatial audio
