I actually prefer widescreen, I just find it a lot more natural on the eyes and engrossing (theatrical I guess). I do realise that in this case it involves some quite serious cropping of the full frame image though. Often films were filmed full frame with the intention of allowing a more flexible framing of a final widescreen image, I do understand that Let it Be was filmed in 16mm only so this was probably not the intention but they seem to have done the cropping with minimal quality loss.billychildish wrote: ↑Thu Oct 14, 2021 12:23 am I have to say if the trailer is anything like the finished movie, I will be TERRIBLY disappointed if they show it in this aspect ratio.

The footage looks better than anything we could have wished for, I was smiling for an hour after watching the trailer.
Also, there is a strong narrative built into the trailer. This is going to be good.

Re: The Beatles Get Back Official Trailer Disney+
I've just read that Peter Jackson and editor Jabez Olssen's first rough cut (which was apparently *not* simply a compilation of rushes) of the new documentary was seventeen hours, and the second was ten hours!
I wish we could see that first cut!

Has anyone learned what time Disney will begin airing Get Back? I have not found it listed anywhere.
