How Good Was The Glastonbury Show!!!

Post by RunoutGroove »

After suffering last nights 'headline' act of Billie Eilish miming to her own backing track, Paul rolls into camp with what was his greatest performance in decades with Dave Grohl and Bruce Springsteen. Tomorrow we have Dianna (I was a has-been in the 90's) Ross.

Paul at 80 was AMAZING!!! Beat that.

Was it really that good?!?!

I've heard a few of his recent shows and really, sadly wasn't that impressed, but I hope this Glastonbury show is every bit as good as you say-- and I hope it pops up somewhere soon!

I'm out of the UK so I could only listen to the audio on the BBC sounds app but I was very impressed!
I think he handled his voice really well.

I was watching it on BBC1 and 'predicting' what song was coming next...I was able to be right 2/3 of the time as it largely followed the Orlando set in May. The only major deviations were towards the end to accommodate the guest spots.

Considering recent comments about his voice it was a better than expected performance.

One thing I noticed was he told the audience he had never performed the bits of the Abbey Road medley live before...but he had in at least Orlando and Knoxville and I'm sure other recent shows. Guess he actually meant his current tour was the first time.

Don't remember In Spite Of All The Danger, unless he sung a line between songs and I missed it?

Yes I noticed that. I wasnt aware of it being played unless as you suggest it was just a line or two.
