Damn that sucks. I’ve got tix to the Vegas show in November and was already sad his health was going to keep him from this tour. Clearly he was dealing with something serious, but at 80 just about everything can be serious. RIP

Very sad. Seemed such a ‘gentleman’, a rarity in the R ‘n’ R world. Loved the fact that he played huge stadiums using a kit that would have looked small in a small club. Good on ya, Charlie. I’ll raise a glass of red to you tonight.
