Awesome mix! I was looking at sources about the recording sessions - and I got the impression that your creation is similar to TAKE 9 which was the Paul on Piano/Ringo on snare version which they decided to use for the SI's - the one of which was on the SDE as Take 10 which is very similar but adds the Clav and Maracas...and adds the conversation before hand.

The conversation is interesting - notice at first the engineer says TAKE 9 and then Paul corrects him with Take 10, but if you continue to listen carefully, you hear sort of a tape rewind and a NINE call before that Take 10 starts again...which now contains the SI track of clav & maracas SI's....

Is that correct what I hear?

anyhow - glad you got access to the ATMOS version and was able to extract each track or got them already extracted. Too bad most of us spent hundreds on the LP and CD boxes did not get access - and if we did, I noticed those Atmos mixes on Apple are compressed m4a files....I guess I'll wait it out and eventually I'll get the HQ extractions of each channel.

have fun!

1966-05-09 For No One [Take 10 - Live Basic Track]
Source: SDE
Stereo mix of tracks 2 (piano) & 3 (drums) only. Remixed from the SDE to remove tracks 1 (clavichord, maracas & hi-hat) as well as track bleed of 4 (vocal) from the intro. Patches the bad edit between two different transfers and mixes with different panning at 0:15.

That's great! Thanks a lot! :D
Although I don't dislike Giles Martin, I think you should be behind these Deluxe Sets.
You always find out what's wrong (bad edits, different pannings, etc.) and, even more, you actually fix these mistakes.

I don't hear a tape rewind noise in the basic track. The tape startup of the vocal overdub is audible at about 0:06 in the SDE mix. The noise at 0:17 could represent the startup of the maracas / clavichord track, or may just be something brushing over a mic - hard to tell.
So take 9 is just a misannouncement, it is in fact take 10 as quickly corrected, which was then overdubbed and finally reduced into takes 13 and 14 to recieve bass & horn overdubs.
There seems to be an off-mic voice saying "off you go" or something similar after the announcement of take 10 and just before the track cuts back to the studio mics, but that is only audible in my edited version because the volume swell on the original makes it almost inaudible.

Very nice. Too much bloody clavichord on the new versions. It's a horrid instrument.

Live basic track, probably.

1968-09-05 While My Guitar Gently Weeps [Take 17]
Source: Rockband + 2018 SDE
Fresh Wii rip, several crossfades and edits are undone here to present this snippet seamlessly from the start of the tape until the start of the take itself.

1968-09-05 While My Guitar Gently Weeps [Take 25 - Live-ish, Cold Ending]
Source: Rockband, 2018 5.1, mono mix
Vocal likely not the original guide vocal, double tracked in some spots on all sources. Ending reconstructed.

Source: 2018 5.1, stereo mix
Less overdubs (no organ, guitar solo, percussion, piano, harmony vocals), lead vocal patched and mostly single-tracked now (the double-tracked "I need a fix - mother superior" section appears to have been internally bounced to one track)
