Interestingly, my copy of the LP is slightly different than yours - it has the swimming pool picture on both sides.

Really?! Geez, there are variations! Now completists have two of these damned things to find!

As it turns out, the father Christmas picture was generic for the full series as listed on that particular side (well, if the picture was used, that is...). See this Joy Division LP for instance

Yes, side 1 has a list of other lps in the series, including Duran Duran and other 80s bands. Not sure what the label was.

Somehow I'd like to think it was very early Yellow Dog but I seriously doubt it.
I'd be more interesting what sources these came from, were they new home recordings or much older boots.

None of it was from older boots. It was all from unbooted sources.
