THE MAL EVANS TAPES
Interviews with Laura Gross, 11-29-1975
and Ken Doyle (12-1975)
on KCSN-FM 88.5 California State Northridge
Two discs, taped off-air. Reception was a bit spotty, but these were the only known examples of these programs at the time. I'm unaware of any upgrades that turned up since. Recordings courtesy of LDC.
De-hummed, pitch, phase and levels corrected August 2011.
Artwork and verification files are included.
Good for one week.

Great so far. The thing I like about it is his memories are fresh (within a decade when recorded) so things are less distilled over a long period of time. It's also very refreshing that the interviewer lets him speak without interrupting. This is a great primer for the book that will eventually be out.Onkster II wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 5:46 pm Anybody listened to these yet? How are they for interesting content?
