Good question Track06... I wonder this myself. There's no doubt this censored version of the SPLHCB album was actually produced, but my belief was that it was done in stereo only (not sure where in my foggy memory I got this idea though)?

I thought this was a hoax. I found a couple of decent images of the back cover. Popsike sold a copy. Their picture is really crappy. It shows a gatefold with lyric-less back cover but the disc is a black rectangle Parlophone label that is not legible. ALL other photos I saw were uncensored but also black rectangle Parlophone with PCS 7027 or DEER label LCK 4042 and one was a yellow Parlophone. The number of censored label is SLPEA 1006. But I couldn't read the label on Popsikes photo. So, I'm not sure. It seems to be true but that is based on their descriptions and NO photo evidence. When did the black Parlophone label make its debut? Trivia(?): The condition of all of these records was far below perfect. The disc we have for download may very well be cobbled thus explaining gapless anomalies. Draw your own conclusions!
Final thoughts: Where is the censored version for my neighborhood. We had real drug problems. EMI never noticed.

Please be aware that the album I posted some months ago is not my version of it, it is the version I downloaded from somewhere up to twenty years ago. I'm sure I must have said that I have no knowledge of its provenance when I posted it. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that what I have is a fan's re-creation. If it's stereo, then you know that's what it is.

That's my understanding as well, that it was only made in stereo. But it's possible there was a mono as well...just no one has any evidence of such.
