Req - In The Studio 1966 - Revolving Turntables (Graphophone)
Re: Req - In The Studio 1966 - Revolving Turntables (Graphophone)
The tagging is my shorthand, I was working with dozens of files when we worked on the TOUP 5.1 mix and Revolver Sessions. I tested every available source for the album at the time, thus you have things on this artwork like for Eleanor Rigby where it says "er 6266 CR" which is from the Red Album, a stereo mix of the center and right isolations. Something like cvL would just be the left channel of the commercial version (cd or needledrop or whatever). Revolver Isolation Tests has a bunch of these naming conventions which are somewhat explained in the notes for that set.InnerLight wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 8:26 pm It's the artwork from Discogs, just with the files renamed to more comprehensible names.
And for the first track they could have lifted csnyfan's better version without any of the vocal leakage.

Thanks for the posting and the tagging! This is, hands down, the finest, best produced, most fluid Beatles album of their entire canon. Better than Abbey Road. Much better than Pepper. Although Rubber Soul is a close second, this is the one I gravitate to when I want to hear, all in one place, the majesty, the potential, and the full brute force of what The Beatles were all about.

This is useful information when looking at your releases, thanks. However just to be clear I was referring only to the filenames of the Discogs artwork which are all in the format R-11468761-1533817839-8584. I just renamed them to "cover" "back" and so on.

I believe I need to 2nd this request. This really looks like a good one! PLEASE, my Brethren in Beatlemania, please repost? Either way, I'm grateful to be a part of this.
