We have many enthusiastic members here but we do need a sticky thread about quality control (standards for ripping, tagging, file naming, editing, best options for sharing, etc.).

Before adding items to my collection I view the waveforms in a DAW and spend way too much time trimming tops and tails, fixing fades and channel levels, repairing bad track boundaries, as well as renaming tracks to fix typos, truncated file names and repetitive labels, etc.

Many man-hours can be saved on the back end if the original poster does a proper job.

This is a great idea and I've been thinking about this too, particularly from a sharing standpoint to make it easy to find things that are already shared or to prevent duplicates. I'll start a new thread for input here and we'll see if we can all agree on something...

Can't you rip disc 1 of From Me To You one more time? Mrbeatleg wrote "We are not missing track 9 from disc 1,... " but he was wrong. Tracks 8 and 10 cannot be merged smoothly without Track 9.

Your re-up will be appreciated very much...
