Re: When did you first hear the word "Bootleg"?

It was right after seeing my first concert, Bob Dylan & The Band at Oakland Coliseum in February of 1974. (I was later to learn that this was one of the last shows of the tour—no wonder!) My friend (who brought me to the show) later gave me a Dylan bootleg. It really blew my mind that recordings...

Re: CCR Royal Albert Hall Video To Be Officially Released

That Royal Albert Hall show is a favorite. I still remember watching the original broadcast on local TV in 1970. I loved that bright red Rickenbacker . . .

Re: THE BERMUDA TAPE

I think the first track is from the Bermuda tape. I was told by a friend who knows that that is Fred Seaman doing the clapping. I don't know that anything else on this disc is from the Bermuda tape but I'll listen to it a little more over the weekend.

Re: NEXT Peter Jackson Beatles film(?) project

That's certainly one of the best versions out there. I just wonder how much improvement there is to be made on the tape, now in Apple's hands. Re: Badfinger "Baby Blue" (1972 Apple Records Acetate)

Good pictures, thanks for sharing them. I'm really no expert but that label sure doesn't look 50 years old (that doesn't necessarily mean it's not legit). Hopefully someone here can shed some light on the disc or the etchings.

I did find this online . . . http://applerecords.nl/UK%20LP%20Acetate.pdf

Re: NEXT Peter Jackson Beatles film(?) project

My modest proposal: Joe Orton's Up Against It script, with Muppet Beatle-played-characters in a live-action world that features a CGI Marlon Brando in three roles, and the real Meryl Streep in two. Produced by Jackson, but directed by Nicolas Winding-Refn. Shot in original three-camera Cinerama @ 6...
