Re: Yellow Dog Question

I wish we had something like Stonesvault on IORR, where they have label specific pages with links to all available stuff. It's quite a nice system they have going on over there. Anyone have any thoughts on how we can/should do something like that, or are we inviting the law and more scrutiny? Bad i...

Re: Old TV programmes

Aw come on guys, SOMEONE must remember! I think it may have had to do with Broad Street? He was on location filming somewhere, there was a horse and he was feeding the horse an apple or something and having a conversation.

Besides, Mr Ed was Ed Sullivan. ;)

Re: Disque Americ Revolver

You could have a thread 1000 pages long about the various cds. There's still a lot of misinformation out there about the 87s, that they were made from dupe tapes and with little care. In fact we dug up the evidence on BZ to show that a great deal of care went into them. Unfortunately that thread is ...

Re: Old TV programmes

Never heard of this, but it sounds intriguing! Thanks!

Can anyone remember a tv special about McCartney where he is having a quiet conversation with a horse?! It might have been around 1990. He is facing the horse and stroking its head while chatting with it. It struck me as really funny at the time.

Re: Disque Americ Revolver

Maybe the 24/44 version I downloaded is the 1989 (as it says) or early 1990's release? hxxp://www.beatleg.info/music/docs/beatles/cv/cd-canada/C2%2046440-da.htm While the Parl. C2 46440 version is indeed the original UK mix. I read on Hoffman that at some point Disque Americ started using the Marti...

Re: Disque Americ Revolver

I've now checked the Canadian Sgt Pepper and it's the same as the standard 80s cd, except for being mastered about 0.5db quieter. I read on Hoffman that the Canadian LIB has noise reduction added... so we don't want that one! Doug has made a video showing the two With The Beatles versions lined up i...

I've heard that in the past few days they've gone up to around $50.

Re: Extracting CDRs - Issues

I have a some factory dvds that won't play properly any more. It really pisses me off. Fortunately I make a backup of any dvd the day I buy it, but it still annoys me that this format which is supposed to be state of the art has less longevity than vhs tapes I made 40 years ago and still play.

Re: Disque Americ Revolver

Lord Reith, thank you for all the great work you do. I just wanted to check if you meant 'Rubber Soul' and not 'Revolver', as the images are for Rubber Soul Oh yes I mean Revolver though I see how the RS documents I posted might cause confusion. I just posted them because I think they're interestin...

Disque Americ Revolver

Anyone got a Canadian disc of Revolver pressed by either Disque Americ, or Cinram? This is different from the standard 1987 cd in that there are no early digital fades and you can hear the tape hiss between tracks. Also the gaps between songs aren't shortened. Disque Americ got sent some erroneous t...
