Re: New Brown Shoe
I could see George offering this song to Eric Clapton who would have done a great version.

Re: A few of Tex's "Let It Be/Get Back" 2024 mixes
The bareness of the song "Let It Be" explains why Spector felt it needed alot more.
He was handed a half-ass recording.
I think it was Alan Kozin who pointed out that it was Ringo that was holding these tracks together.

Re: A few of Tex's "Let It Be/Get Back" 2024 mixes
Here's a very re-balanced "Let It Be". I opened up and increased the clarity of the drums and lowered the volume of the orchestra. The guitar solo is tamed also. The song is a very clunky recording to start with so it's always going to be less than smooth. Let It Be (2024 remix)+ hxxps://w...

Re: Requesting EMI Deltas
In my TYG (or was it FMTY?) there's a different harmonica SI take between the mono and stereo or the raw tape. Either way I used the bit that was easiest to extract (which was not 100% identical) because of extract-ability or sound quality concerns. No one would notice the difference if I didn't poi...

Re: Requesting EMI Deltas
When I rebuilt FMTY or TYG I noticed that one of the harmonica overdubs in the released version could not be matched to the session tape.
So it must have been physically cut from the session/SI tape and inserted into the master?

Awesome! Nice to have earlier digital transfers. Someone should forensically compare them with the 2009 transfers.

Re: 21 Century Gold Disc?
I think was Please Please Me, Ask Me Why, & maybe Dont Bother Me Not sure on other songs I think you mean the rare Dick James publishing sampler CD. In the early days of CD's when the first 4 Beatles discs were released in mono, the only place for a brief time where you could find any stereo mi...

A few of Tex's "Let It Be/Get Back" 2024 mixes
I went back to some older remix sessions and improved them with the new spectral demix tools. Enjoy! 01 - Get Back [Naked mix with coda] (2024 remix)+ [Background sounds brought up and the single's coda remixed and reattached.] hxxps://we.tl/t-yOSAPWKj2M 02 - Don't Let Me Down (2024 remix)+ [bass dr...

Re: Let It Be Film - end of an era
I bet M L Hogg saw "Get Back" and was aghast at the 16x9 framing and extreme grain removal. I would bet he stipulated that he had final approval if he was going to give his endorsement and promotion. You do NOT want the original director crapping on your product. I believe back in the day ...
