Re: Lovely Rita - (stripped down version re-mix) Sgt Peppers

Just isolating the left channel of the "regular one" can yield almost a less-over-produced, pseudo-mono mix of the song also (and any "mechanical"-sounding digital artifacts are avoided).

Re: I Am The Walrus (new remix)

Even though the 1967 Capitol one (for example) is edited in two places, the original stereo of it has more separation than the 1971-onward/standardized remix. The rhythm track is, basically, isolated on the left (like listening to the "Anthology 2 rehearsal take" almost); while the orchest...

Re: Anyone for needledrops? Audiophile-related stuff?

Since the Capitol full stereo YESTERDAY&TODAY is uncommon, here's my go at it in 24/88: side 1 [hxxps://mega.nz/file/NaJlXIRL#HexynhOEcIRGFxkqKKPOKiIJD7fDRU8qYEQJe3GevgM] side 2 [hxxps://mega.nz/file/UCRiwRAD#BMntuT5j4XRUP495Q9l_dTrgSpNNgUGD8-rLeUkAtUk] others: HEY JUDE 24/48 side 1 [hxxps://meg...

Re: Misheard Beatle Lyrics

The way that line from Bad Boy always sounds to me: You moved the TULARE (slang synonym for rabbit; after Tulare, pronounced: too-lair-ee, California) and you fed it to the neighbor's cat. You gave the cocker spaniel a bath in mother's laundromat. A cat looking at a pet rabbit as its prey is entirel...

Re: A Hard Day's Night

For "historical purposes", I'd like to share a 24/48 upload of the rare first-issue MONO TAPE of the U.A. soundtrack. Note: as this is a half-track tape played across a quarter (or "4-track"...I do not have a two-track machine) track tape head, some of the signal will seem out of...

John's three Y&T songs IN STEREO

Never widely available on any (vintage) incarnation of YESTERDAY & TODAY except on tape; and the 1968 rainbow label, record club pressing as well as the lime green (Capitol) '69-'71 reissue. AND YOUR BIRD CAN SING 24/44 [hxxps://mega.nz/file/yckAwKzK#b0_KQnTYQqa8Sc1VSxpNggqaw8maX-2Yz4wCL_mSoqo] ...

Re: HELP! My Canadian Disque Americ re-master cd 2020 plus extras

Six-of-the-seven original '65 mixes accessible, at least, off the Capitol soundtrack version (excepting: the Duophonic "Ticket to Ride" in that case) were not mastered (apparently) with the same level of Dexterized treatment across all FORMATS. Neither the records nor the 2006 Rainbow Vol....

Re: The Early Beatles - 1965 US Mono LP rip [Vee-Jay]

Just for fun comparison: my 24/96 rip of the STEREO version (though, the Dexterized stereo TWIST & SHOUT is the redeeming factor of this "throwaway album" IMO; the way John's cough at the end is left in where, it's as if you can literally feel he was going to hurl blood onto the mic). ...

Re: Beatles: Turn Me On! - Backwards Beatles

The first way I'd "figured out" what the backward last line in RAIN was: was; in fact, when I'd played my reel to reel copy of the Hey Jude album on a quadraphonic deck and heard the opposite side playing backwards (forward) through the REAR CHANNELS (which, of course, made me realize it w...
