I guess you didn't read this line: "My guess is 8-tracks only attract interest when the program material is not available in a better quality format."
Who's missing the point?, Oh, right, it's not me.

Re: 8-tracks
I've been trying to get some interest going on this for years. There's seems to be zero interest in digitizing and sharing 8 track albums. I've joined numerous Facebook groups and the response to the idea was deafening...deafeningly silent. Just my tuppence, but I think the lack of enthusiasm may s...

Re: Philadelphia 1964 Pre-FM Soundboard (CDR, no label)
In the interest of historical accuracy...
WIBG, known as "Wibbage" was an AM station in Philadelphia in 1964 at 990. Wibbage's FM signal didn't exist until 2009. In this case, "Pre-FM" would be about 45 years "Pre". Great sound, though!

Can you continue on that? I'm trying to remember the source, but I'm pretty sure the consensus has been the masterings are the same. I have both, but inquiring minds want to know.

Just to second what Lon Chaney III has shared, I have used newsleecher and giganews for years with great results. Like any new system, it takes a little use to understand, but once you get the hang of it, it's great.
