Re: Acetates Forgery
You’re right to be sceptical. An acetate isn’t designed to be played more than a handful of times as it starts to deteriorate from the first play. The label on the pictured record clearly states that it’s a test pressing, which is simply a standard vinyl disc pressed in limited quantities to test ho...

Re: Unbootlegged Lennon Footage Leaked..On Instagram?
That’s a great piece of footage, thanks very much for posting the link. Anything at all from the Simon Dee Show is like gold dust. The BBC in their infinite wisdom wiped all but a small fraction of the Dee Time shows they aired. You only have to look at the roster of acts for that show to see what a...

Re: Goldies Request !!
Wow. That's a whole lot of asking. Because of course you want to complete your excellent collection. Can I humbly ask why, if you are so eager to complete your excellent collection, you don't buy a few of these yourself and share them? In fact I used to buy by DiscJapan, but now I do not know what ...

Thanks very much for publicising this. That Bobby Whitlock set alone is a bit of a missing link for anyone interested in the whole Domino’s/ All Things Must Pass scene.

Re: NEW APCOR BOOK: EXTENDED PLAY IN THE U.K.
APCOR NEWSLETTER 28 :o That is a shame. Seems there will be a big gap in the Apple story. Would welcome a reprint of Porkys Prime cuts and maybe a cd collecting all those vinyl only Apcor releases. If it's not too much to ask? :) Apcor Books have already issued a cd compiling those vinyl only cuts,...

Re: The BC-13 vinyl dutch Pressings
There is a Swedish edition on Discogs with the catalogue number yours has: https://www.discogs.com/release/5090199-The-Beatles-The-Beatles-Collection Looks like that one. The one I bought is a New Zealand issue. Peppers is in a single sleeve, all of the records are on the Parlophone label and Rariti...

Re: Complete Recording Sessions NEW UPDATES (Vol. 12 available)
Don't forget Way Beyond Compare by John Winn. Essential. I would say all three John C. Winn's books are incredible. Although outdated. :( Maybe so, but a print copy of Lifting Latches that doesn't cost triple digits on resale would still be nice to have. (Yes, I bought the PDF. It's terrific!) Like...

Re: REQ: Hotter Than Hell
It’s just a compilation of relatively common bootlegs. Discs two and three are the Pear Alternate White album and disc one another boot whose name currently escapes me. Scorpio UK did a run of these copycat sets. The sleeve is a three panel card digi with innners and the cover, as you can see, is ve...

Re: John Barrett and Roger Scott - legit info?
You need the book Lifting Latches by John C Winn, the physical copies are long gone and attract high prices on the resale market but digital copies are available from Johns site for $20. It’s indispensable and still in the pantheon of Beatle books: http://www.multiplusbooks.com/ He gives the full hi...

Re: Live Peace Catalogue Number
Without knowing for certain what the situation was with the catalog number, the probability is that it had something to do with the contractual status of the album... It's an obscure piece of Beatles history/trivia, but if I recall correctly, there was some kind of legal wrangling by Klein involved...
