Re: HAPPY EASTER

All I can say is that I’ve lived in the UK for all of my 60 years, I live and work in the most ethnically diverse areas of London, in the most ‘liberal’ (substitute whichever synonym you prefer) environment imaginable, and I’ve literally never heard anybody mention this topic. Ever. Neither have I....

Re: Pedantic With The Beatles question...

Hello everyone. A long time lurker here who has finally decided to register as a member. Anyways I'm a 2nd generation Beatles fan and I'm pleased to now be "on board" Before adding my two cents regarding the font used on the cover of WTB, I'd like to take a moment to say Thanks to all tho...

Re: Inside The Crazy World of Apple

I notice the PDF file name is "TV Times 7-13 June 1969". Just to be clear, the three atricles were printed in successive editions, so 7-13, then 14-20, then 21-27 June.

Thanks for the PDF - really nice to have it this way.

Re: HAPPY EASTER

Same to You! Although now in the UK we are supposed to refer to it as the Springtime Holiday, not the Easter Holiday, as it upsets some foreigners that have come to live here! As you well know, that is absolute bollocks Your right, It is absolute b*llocks, to me as well, because I have always loved...

Re: Beatles-related Rolling Stone issues (1967-2006)

Thanks for these. Great stuff.

This thread has every issue from the start, to the end of 1972, if you want them (links in first post). Not always Beatles articles inside, but often news, reviews, adverts, etc...

Re: Has anyone watched Birth Of The Beatles on amazon?

It's an odd film. I understand Pete Best was a consultant on it, which makes it all the more odd that it's filled with inaccuracies, for example the Beatles all wearing leather while John is still at art school, long before they went to Hamburg. It's watchable though. I put it in the 'so bad it's go...

Re: HAPPY EASTER

Cadbury's website this morning... Easter.JPG Easter- Easter - Easter. I could understand why, in the interests of marketing, they might want to make their eggs less specifically about a Christian festival - but it's pretty dumb to get upset about it and blame 'foreigners'. For one thing, Cadbury ite...
