Re: Michael Lindsay-Hogg's 'Let It Be' is coming!
Assuming that Michael has final say I'd like to imagine it's 4:3 because the Furmanek remaster (seen on HMC) was 4:3 and the unreleased Smeaton remaster (seen in Living in the Material World and McCartney 321.) was also 4:3 If it were coming out on dvd instead of going to streaming, I'd guess that ...

Re: Best Youtube converter/downloader "A must have question"
It seems YouTube has been upgrading their audio content to 160 kbps Opus, without telling anyone. Opus waveform.jpg Yes I noticed the opus audio option a long time ago but ignored it because my tv etc won't read that codec. It'll be interesting to see when the smoke has cleared what the new audio f...

Re: Two Virgins
What I want to know is when there'll be a Two Virgins Ultimate Mix SDE. Complete with a lavish quarto book full of all the unused shots for the album cover. And a bluray of the film Self Portrait. And a bonus cd of that tape of John nad Yoko having sex as played to Michael Lindsay Hogg. And reproduc...

Re: Best Youtube converter/downloader "A must have question"
Youtube seem to have completely changed their delivery system. It'll take a while for everyone to catch up.
The worst thing they've done recently is downgrade all audio on the free option to 50kb/s. Not sure if you can still get 128 if you sign into a free account.

Re: Michael Lindsay-Hogg's 'Let It Be' is coming!
It surely wasn't shot in safe 4:3 mode for widescreen because if you just matte the top and bottom with black bars then half of Paul's face disappears during LIB and TLAWR, and also in other close ups. The only way they could get it into widescreen was to crop each shot differently. IMO it should ab...

Re: One Hand Clapping OUT VERY SOON !
It will never look great. It's a colour film recording of a lost videotape, made by pointiong a colour film camera at a monitor. Very lossy process.

Re: Michael Lindsay-Hogg's 'Let It Be' is coming!
I doubt there'll be a physical release if Disney is involved. Last time, they said "we don't do blurays anymore" and then were pestered into it, but they went ahead and pressed thousands of copies and started selling it BEFORE they got PJ's approval. Duh. And then they were mightily pissed...

Re: MLH's 'Let It Be' is coming!
I just can't understand what is going on in January 69. They just play those same songs over and over... what was the point?? Normally they'd just work on the song for one session, then add overdubs at extra sessions, mix it and then forget about it. But Paul seemed determined to drive the songs in...

Re: When the Beatles Will Go Public Domain
It's different in each country I think but recent history has shown that when those expiry dates are reached, they simply rewrite the law and extend it. The law that made everything unreleased within 50 years public domain in Europe was changed a couple of years ago so that ever song recorded after ...

Re: FABRACADABRA!
Well I listened to V6 as it stands yesterday and to be honest I couldn't hear anything wrong with it. Maybe I would change one or two things but I doubt there'd be any great improvement.
