Re: Red & Blue Albums

They seem to have intention for a new edition, as per their (Curvebender) Web page.

There's a joke, "Stradivarius made violins for suckers, but for the hip folks he made - drums"

Re: MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I'm not sure what is going on there. All I hear at 2'09" is a whistle from the audience, and that's in both channels. When I OOPS it, there is just silence. Yes there is a whistle, and the signal I hear in the phones is a fat nice mono all the time. But at that moment hiss kicks in from the ri...

Re: MERRY CHRISTMAS!

IMO the hiss is somehow within your file. I'm listening on my PC by using "F3" button on the WAV file in Total Commander. And I've just copied your FLAC file to my Cowon flash player - in the headphones, it's still the same.

Re: MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Thank you, LR. I've downloaded, made WAV with TLH, and this WAV is identical to the WAV I've had from the folder (as expected) - this I know from comparison in Total Commander. And - still the hiss kicks in mightily in RCh at 2'09" :)

Re: MERRY CHRISTMAS!

EDIT: I see you are actually talking about the end of track 14. I don't hear any noise in the right channel! The file is mono so it must be some sort of glitch in your own copy? I don't burn copies. I've downloaded and had a listen on my PC with some not outstanding audio card - in Koss PortaPro ph...

Re: MERRY CHRISTMAS!

So there you might get some artefacts because the second half of the word might be boosted by 9db or something. But in the end that is better than... silence! But, but...could you do some hiss reduction just on those seconds, and just in right channel? :) the result, whatever it'll be, surely won't...

Re: MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Yeah, the big obstacle is that while to audiences of 1960-62 this was The Beatles that they knew, in 2024 it will sound alien to even the baby boomers. It hasn't been on the market for 30 years and even back then was not widely known. The swearing etc is not so much a problem in my view as the almo...

Re: MERRY CHRISTMAS!

There was no way I'd wait till Christmas with this in hands  what you did to those tapes is phenomenal. It's as if they are to carry your personal fingerprint from now on, even in the case of PJ succeeding with making a MAL version available. My heart naturally bleeds from the knowledge that ma...

Re: The John Lennon Project (Website)

What's bad about "TV/Radio" category? the audience was at such shows in many cases, but it's not exactly a "live" setting, as pre-recorded tapes may be involved.
