Re: Lost Discs, HD Crashes, etc. Need Help! (Unicorn & Voxx For Now...)

I had a packet of cd labels, but I was lucky in that I was too cheap to buy the applicator thingy that put them on straight. So I quickly got sick of crooked labels and just started putting a number in the clear plastic bit around the centre. Smartest thing I ever did.

Re: Disque Americ Revolver

For what it's worth, I took a closer look at the first four. The Canadian and U.S. issues of PPM and BFS seem to be identical, while the Canadian HDN shows the same characteristics as WTB - with inverted waveforms and running bit slower. I found BFS to be identical too. It actually nulls out if you...

Re: THE LOST '65 SINGLE

It's always been claimed that the Fabs intended to give away "That Means A Lot," but it's odd that the entire band would work on a song that was meant for someone else. Paul would have done a solo demo for giveaway, instead of conduct a multi-take session with the band, don't you think? I...

Re: Strawberry Fields Forever (Vee-Jay Remix)

I did a similar thing when I was younger using the speed control on my turntable. I always thought the whole song was too slow. I remember first buying the song on an EP and really liking the song until about a minute in when suddenly it went all horrible. I didn't know why at the time. But that spl...

THE LOST '65 SINGLE

Did you know The Beatles almost issued That Means A Lot as a single in 1965? :? Well, no, they didn't but let's pretend for a moment they did... This is a remix of the John Barret tape I've done, re-balancing the instruments and voices and fixing it up a bit to sound like a genuine 1965 track...

Yes, it's part of Abracadabra. Later this year some time.

Re: The Beatles in Color Vol. 1 (VAL-054)

When I was a kid, I used to look at all the old photographs and think the world used to be in black and white. I remember asking my mum how they coped back when the world wasn't colour.

Re: Yellow Dog Question

A lot of Yellow Dog's stuff is sourced from Minidisc. It was a popular format at one time. I think the compression was pretty good though, not like a low bitrate mp3.

Re: Disque Americ Revolver

I checked one of the tracks on the DA Revolver against the regular cd, and they completely cancel out to nothing except for the ending where the Canadian one has extra audio. So they must be the same transfer, just one is faded early.

Re: Disque Americ Revolver

Hi, LR Nice to have you back! Hey guv! You made it! I'm not so sure the '87 U.S. is the best source for the White Album. There's a glitch 2:20 into "Happiness Is A Warm Gun" and the cues are off for the beginning of "Bungalow Bill," "Don't Pass Me By" and "Revolut...
