It would have been a major undertaking to do that show. It needed selection and planning of guest artists, sequencing, editing etc. I imagine it would have been quite stressful, that sense of "what are we recording at this session and are we going to get it all in the can in two hours?"

Thanks guys. It's such a nice song isn't it? George unfortunately mutilated a lot of his vocals with heavy effects. I think he was even more insecure about them than John. This song never needed anything other than an acoustic guitar, and I was always disappointed that there was no Kinfauns demo.

He still works for the Lennons, they view him as a trusted friend so he must be okay. You couldn't fool a family for 50 years. That was John's favourite progression, he used it or a variation of it on many of his songs. A lifelong fascination for him.

I always thought it was "scally's gonna finish you, you're gonna wish that you were dead" with "scally" as Liverpoolese for "scallywag".
