Re: New Brown Shoe

George seemed to like putting effects on his vocals... "Everybody's trying to be my baby" has extreme reverb that makes it unlistenable to me That's actually more delay than reverb. Sort of like a slap back echo from the fifties type effect. I did an echoless mix on Fabracadabra but have ...

Re: New Brown Shoe

Thanks guys, glad you enjoyed it. This is great! Excellent vocal.... though dare I say it's now just a tad too loud? Ironic, I know... I think I agree with you, but I will be including it on an upcoming project and will tweak it a bit more then. While doing this I found there is a slight playb...

New Brown Shoe

I've always loved George's edgy B-side Old Brown Shoe, which has echoes of Not Guilty in its... erm, echoing guitar phrases. But I always hated the "voice in the room down the hall" aspect of it. A long time ago I just boosted the vocal, but it is so badly recorded it wasn't much of an imp...

If you can't see the link then try pressing the quote button and it might show up in the quoted text.

Always happens to me with google links. I just see blank space until I press the quote button, then there is a link hiding there.

Re: Yoko to receive award

People have gotten awards for far worse stuff than Yoko's art. At least hers has a sense of humour. I think the problem was people just took her too seriously and didn't understand the quirky side of it.

Re: Let It Be Film - end of an era

You gotta wonder why it suddenly disappeared from the world in the mid 80s. I mean, was it that bad that Apple had to "cancel" it? It all just seems so stupid, keeping a movie hidden for 40 years. I mean, Help, that vanished for a while but it was less than ten years. 40 years is a total j...

Neither the audio or video of the Disney version can be posted here.

Re: Let It Be Film - end of an era

I was thinking about how back in the day I ran into a LIB laser disk in the local video rental store and was able to talk my parents into renting it, along with a LD player, plus a VHS player - so that I could try to record a copy of it. I figured it out and had what I considered a decent copy of t...

There's a link a few pages back. It's the whole set, but it's not split into tracks. You'd have to split each volume into tracks using the cue file if you want it that way.

Re: Harry And His Box Set (V1, 2, 7, 10, 12, 15, 14 update.)

I made a mistake with the dating of the George Martin "Pop Profile". it is actually the very last episode, and would probably have been recorded on May 2nd 1966, not in 1965.
