Re: Did anybody get any cool Record Store Day loot?
I did briefly consider the Lennon EP, but just couldn't justify paying 50% over the price of a normal LP for it. Ringo's new EP was just as expensive by the way. No thanks. I'm not into picture discs, so the Harrison discs are not remotely interesting to me either. I have both "Wonderwall"...

Re: MLH's 'Let It Be' is coming!
I just can't understand what is going on in January 69. They just play those same songs over and over... what was the point?? Normally they'd just work on the song for one session, then add overdubs at extra sessions, mix it and then forget about it. But Paul seemed determined to drive the songs in...

Re: WATCHING RAINBOWS - THE ULTIMATE GET BACK SESSIONS REMASTER (release thread)
I've only listened to the first day recording so far. Really appreciate the tightening up of the stop and start points and the much more balanced volume levels throughout. Much more enjoyable than previous releases of this material. Thanks to the whole team for this enormous undertaking.

Re: The BC-13 vinyl dutch Pressings
I've begun listening to my raw captures of the blue box with headphones, and on closer inspection they just don't sound all that great. Apparently something in my system is causing a nasty and constant hum as soon as the needle hits the record. It's not immediately detectable when listening through ...

Re: The BC-13 vinyl dutch Pressings
My blue box has the same "Help!" catalogue number as yours then. It's a really nice sounding record. Let's hope somebody comes through with the entire series of Dutch pressings. Until then my Swedish hodge-podge box will have to do. Having said that, the Swedish pressings are also very go...

Re: The BC-13 vinyl dutch Pressings
Yes the late 70s early 80s Dutch have numbers starting with 1A. I have Help! It’s number is 1A 062-04257. They are a bit equalized to give more bass than the British Blue Box. It would indeed be wonderful to have a rip of this series. My blue box has the same "Help!" catalogue number as y...

Re: The BC-13 vinyl dutch Pressings
I've decided to do the raw captures of the entire box in one go first, and then go over each album afterwards (splitting tracks etc). I will remove loud pops manually, but won't use automatic declicking or EQ. Again, my box is in excellent shape so heavy processing is not necessary. But expect some ...

Re: The BC-13 vinyl dutch Pressings
If there's any interest I will start needledropping it I for one would be very grateful if you did. Thanks for being willing to undertake that massive task! Well, that's good enough for me. 🙂 Judging by the catalogue numbers, at least some of the pressings seem to be Dutch (the ones starting with &...

Re: The BC-13 vinyl dutch Pressings
There is a Swedish edition on Discogs with the catalogue number yours has: https://www.discogs.com/release/5090199-The-Beatles-The-Beatles-Collection Looks like that one. The one I bought is a New Zealand issue. For Sale and Peppers are single sleeves, all of the records are on Parlophone and Rarit...
