Re: Beatles - Ready Steady Go / Around the Beatles 8mm (COMPLETE)

These are brill BUT wouldn't it have been better to have had the sound of the raw studio tracks with no audience for the 'Around The Beatles' rehearsal seeing as, during the clips, there isn't any audience? The raw tapes have been on bootleg since the mid 80s. Is there a crowd-less version of the A...

What we need now is some clever people to cut this up and splice it together chronologically with the Get Back films into one huge extravaganza and call it Let Back or Get It Be! :D

That's really good.
I've always hoped the session tapes might emerge one day, but this is a great substitute.
As I Feel Fine is my favourite Beatles track, I'd love to hear that too.

Re: What is it that keeps your interest in The Beatles alive?

I'm 64 this year and my earliest Beatle memory is listening to With The Beatles on the radiogram and I have loved them ever since. Got into Bootlegs years ago and it opened my eyes to the excitement and chaos of live concerts, as well as the brilliance and breadth of the BBC performances. In recent ...

Re: Harry And His Court Jesters

This is HUGE. I have always thought this particular performance of "Twist And Shout" is not just the best performance of that particular song by The Beatles, but may very well be the best performance the band ever gave of ANY song for radio or television. To have it in upgraded quality is...

Re: Is there a collection of the premier live Beatles tracks?

I'd vote for the Australian concert recordings to gather the best versions of You Can't Do That, This Boy and probably Twist & Shout. Great versions of Long Tall Sally too, but there are loads of great versions of that available.

Re: The Stones And Brian Jones

I watched it a while ago and I agree he comes across as very self-centered. His treatment of the women in his life was pretty abysmal from even before he became famous. His group just left him behind and he begrudged that and with his prodigious drug taking he seems to have entered a downward depres...
