Re: Get Back: Part 1 - thoughts and reviews
Can you imagine what John and Paul could have accomplished if George wasn't such a wet blanket all the time ? Hell, Pink Floyd played Pompeii a couple of years later and the Dead played the Pyramids. I've really come to see George as a Debbie Downer. Sorry to hit you up again, CC.... This is probab...

Re: Get Back: Part 1 - thoughts and reviews
I've downloaded the first two parts but have not watched yet. I am a bit hesitant as this was a period in their career, the winter of their discontent, which sees them not only apart, but not really coming together. I have the image of Let It Be so deeply burned into my psyche, I suppose, that it m...

Re: Get Back: Part 1 - thoughts and reviews
Paul and George getting into it a bit with the Hey Jude guitar bit I believe that's what we always assumed but 1) that was an entirely separate session and 2) in this larger context it seems they were having issues about how to play one of John's songs. Yea, I'm just saying some conflict was starti...

Re: Get Back: Part 1 - thoughts and reviews
Took a break after the first 45 minutes or so. Started getting a bit tedious. The career retrospective opening was unnecessary and chronologically incorrect. It was nice to finally SEE them mucking about with the early Lennon/McCartney material, and the conversations were intriguing, but felt it was...
Re: 8-tracks
Here is a rip of Live at the Hollywood Bowl from a promotional 8-track! hxxps://mega.nz/folder/4gVnkQbC#PdyxUf9GykcjisG9IsNwPg Can anyone re-up the Hollywood Bowl also. I think I missed this whole thread first time around so I think I'm missing all of it. If anyone has everything in one easy place ...

Re: Ripping audio from DVD..Why are there two identical audio streams ?
They're not actually on the dvd twice, they are just referenced twice. It depends on stuff in the menu as sometimes there will be different options for playing the same episode. There's also a form of copy protection which spoofs loads of different versions of the same movie or episode, each with a...

Re: FRENCH TV ARCHIVES
Oops ! Wrote too fast... There is indeed an unlimited streaming offer (from which, hopefully, you can download !), called "Madelen", for €2.99 per month. https://www.ina.fr/offres-et-services/madelen Yea I think this was it. I just watched a banging Peak Hour by the Moody Blues, The Who l...

Ripping audio from DVD..Why are there two identical audio streams ?
One question I never figured out. Many commercial DVD's I come across, when I try to rip the audio there are two identical audio streams, both will be AC3 (48khz 2 channel). They will be under separate titles. For example, I'm ripping a DVD that has 3 episodes of a show. So Title 1 will be the intro...
