Re: Revolver 2022... it's ON!
I wonder of the spectral atmos mix is akin to the early 80's gimmick known as holophonics. Roger Waters had The Final Cut and Pros & Cons mixed in holophonics, which was a stereo mix which seemed to allow for 3D staging of instruments and sounds. It worked quite nicely, actually. But in the end...

Re: New McCartney boxset to be released in August 2022
I really enjoy the Atmos remixes on AppleMusic. Giles and co really knocked it out of the park. McCartney 2 feels so much more alive and you get a much better sense of the crazy instrumentation Paul used on each track. McC3 Atmos is significantly less compressed so it's automatically the best versio...

Re: The Rutles
Rutles-adjacent but anyone have Neil Innes - Live at the BBC 1973-1993 ("NISA L0107") along with any of the other Neil Innes Sound Archive releases? Those are borderline impossible to find now

Re: Ode to an Oboe Player (2016 Complete Edition) (Unofficial George Martin Compilation)
This sounds like "MER-1601 - George Martin - Ode To An Oboe Player (2016 Complete Edition)" It absolutely is but doing a few cursory searches on a few search engines brought up nothing and where I got it from didn't have artwork or really any other information so wasn't too much I could do.

Ode to an Oboe Player (2016 Complete Edition) (Unofficial George Martin Compilation)
Hello! Figured to post this here since it's very Beatles-adjacent. Went looking for lossless rips of George Martin's albums of orchestrated renditions of Beatles songs and such only to find a pretty obscure bootleg that basically combined all of them into one set. I also noticed it didn't have a cov...
