Re: Geoff Emerick tape
As explained to me by the Abbey Road Librarian, Cary Anning, what happened back then was that they had limited archive space. If room was getting tight, they would pick a shelf. Go through and keep all the masters but remove and dump session reels, particularly 1inch 4 track, but often 1/4" too...

Re: Pitch correction methods
"élastique Pro" as far as I can work out is an algorithm. I use it (as a built-in part of several pieces of software) for time stretching and pitch correction, but it will still have an effect on the original sound and I very much doubt it can be reversed completely. Izotope RX 8 advanced ...

Re: Restoring old records.. the HARD way!
The guy in the film is the late John RT Davies who continued to transfer and restore 78's for the rest of his life. (He was also a member of the Temperance Seven) he would later use a Packburn noise suppressor which had the ability to take a stereo from a mono source signal and swap channels to whic...

Re: Old Coca Cola TV ads
Nothing too exciting, but you might like this - UK coke advert circa 1960/61 from one of the most prolific ad composers of the era, John Shakespeare. No famous singers but i'd be surprised if this was anywhere else.

Re: The Rutles - Sgt. Rutter's Only Darts Club Band: Definitive Edition (2021)
Annoying as this is, and I totally respect your decision, if something is posted on a public forum, it is therefore available for anyone to do as they want with it. Lord Reith's work has been copied constantly. But at the end of the day, none of this material belongs to us. It belongs to the copyrig...

Re: SATURDAY CLUB FIFTH BIRTHDAY
Arthur Greenslade was a musical director - not sure who with here as I haven't listened yet, but the backing orchestras for some artists often had solo spots of their own. Certainly Johnny Spence did when he backed Matt Monro & the like. Greenslade was Shirley Bassey's MD later on. More info her...

Re: GEORGE MARTIN THE BEATLES ALBUNS by BA PRODUCTIONS
We can do a fundraiser to buy the clips Reeling in the Years are impossible to deal with unless you are a big production company with deep pockets. They won't answer emails to anyone else. I do work for an artists estate. Even they couldn't get anywhere with them. In the end we had to get a product...
