Re: ROCKIN' ROXBURGH

Could spectral editing be used to remove the annoying sound of someone coughing in the British Library listening room at 1:02 in A Taste Of Honey? I can't help noticing it every time I listen! There are a few extraneous sounds but this one is the worst of them. Just cough when it comes up so you dr...

Re: Complete Get Back Sessions Video Project

There have absolutely been out of context clips and ones we have struggled with greatly! but I think we've been able to at least decently place even the clips which have given us the most trouble. Sometimes there just isn't enough footage or context to help perfectly place something! There are some...

Re: Must be time for a Rubber Soul SDE leak about now...

It sounds in the interviews like Giles is burned out after years and years of Beatles. Remember, by his own admission he does not listen to The Beatles at home. This is just work to him and a way of carrying on his father's legacy. I don't know how other Beatle fans feel, but I honestly couldn't ca...

Re: New discovery - Beatles performing live in UK. At Stowe School April 4th '63

On 4th April 1964, before they achieved world-wide popularity, the Beatles performed at Stowe School. Shortly after the performance, they hopped in their Delorean and jumped back to 9th February, just in time to appear on the Ed Sullivan show.

Re: Watching Rainbows - The Ultimate Get Back Sessions Remaster (BETA RELEASE)

I feel like you probably misunderstood here. With "boardroom tape" I'm referring to the 1976 reunion recording that contains some multitrack playbacks, such as a Dig A Pony take and some oldies, which are already in the Nagras. The "lunchroom tape" (Roll 132A) of the 13th is obv...

Re: Watching Rainbows - The Ultimate Get Back Sessions Remaster (BETA RELEASE)

I'll not integrate stuff such as the boardroom tape or short snippets. So are you saying the boardroom tape won't be in the set at all? It seems like if your goal is the complete Get Back Sessions, this happened during that time and should be included. Just to put my two cents in about the Nagra/mu...

Re: Who was it who posted on BZ a few years back about Paris being shot on 800 line videotape?

Unfortunately not the entirety of the forum was archived.

I did a search in my download of the archive and didn't find anything. I searched for:

SECAM
Jean-Christophe
Averty

Paris
If there's something else I should look for let me know and I can see if there's anything. But so far no luck.

Re: New discovery - Beatles performing live in UK. At Stowe School April 4th '63

I was told that the pitch was 43 cents slow at the beginning and eventually drifts to 93 cents towards the end. ( A 1% speed change is equal to approximately 18 cents) So 2.4% slow is agreed to start but it apparently isn't constant to the end. This would make sense as the recorder was battery powe...
