Think we got confused in the terminology (album/LP/vinyl). I don't have a vinyl quad of W&B because to your point it doesn't exist. Truth be told I don't have the 8-track quad either: i have a DTS-encoded version of that. Sounds great though. Thanks for the clarification!

There was definitely a quad mix of the album (I have it). Are you saying it was only available on 8-track and not LP? If so I'll defer to you on that. Best, GJ.

Downmixed 8-Track version of the album. John completely remixed the album for 8-Track, the remixes are far from subtle and make for an interesting listen. He remixed the album for quadrophonic and this is a downmix of that yes? Pretty sure the stereo 8-track release was the same mix-wise as the LP ...

Okay so there is something strange after all. All the tracks are there as .wav files but only the first two play back. They're showing up in Foobar with run times and everything and take up about 600mb (that's for D1). Weird.

The .wav files opened fine for me using Medieval CUE Splitter. No issues whatsoever with playback either. Thanks for the post!
