Re: New Documentary on the Beatles' First US Visit Out on 29 November!

I found the doco totally underwhelming (as expected). Plus I didn't think the Ed Sullivan or Washington concert footage looked nor sounded any better than previous versions despie the Peter Jackson hype of big improvements. And there were some extremely strange interviews with unknown people that tr...

Re: Question about unknown Imagine clip

Okay yes, thanks, it was the Apollo Theatre. https://ia800205.us.archive.org/5/items/john-lennon-imagine-acoustic-version-1971/John Lennon - Imagine (Acoustic Version) (1971).mp4 Just for a brief moment I was hoping it may have been the "never seen since broadcast" "Imagine" per...

Re: Octopus Garden AI video.

It's just scary what AI can do these days. This is a cool video despite it flaws and as good as anything done in "Rockband". I hate to think what AI will be like in 10 years time!

Re: What Are The Earliest VHS Bootlegs?

Hi again Today's question is: Having analysed all the released promo's for "Paperback Writer" (Chiswick House) post 1995 I've found they are all the exact same versions. So what i'd like to know is.... Is there a pre 1995 version of the Chiswick House "Paperback Writer" and also ...

Re: What Are The Earliest VHS Bootlegs?

The one that always comes to my mind is the appearance on Top Of The Pops on 16th June 1966, miming to Paperback Writer and Rain, which was officially wiped by the BBC. There is a telerecording out there of both performances, held privately by someone somewhere but they choose not to reveal themsel...

Re: What Are The Earliest VHS Bootlegs?

So what other "rarities" has anyone heard about that so far haven't turned up in the past 60 years? More than twenty years ago, I was approached by a collector who said they had hours of footage of the 'Driving Rain' recording sessions. If you don't mind me asking, what year did you start...

Re: What Are The Earliest VHS Bootlegs?

Thank god most of these titles are now online. Would love to see another Son of Dracula out there. There's the one copy that's made it online that's in VERY rough shape (it even has tracking issues at the beginning. Without thread crapping too much, Quentin Tarantino's New Beverly Cinema screened a...

Re: What Are The Earliest VHS Bootlegs?

So is there anyone at all on this forum who did any purchasing/trading with any of the high end collectors back in the 70's/early 80's? And if so what material was being offered back then that is still mostly considered "rare"? Some of the things I heard about but never saw were things lik...

Re: What Are The Earliest VHS Bootlegs?

The first VHS boots I can recall were the ones distributed by Fenno Werkman at Beatles Unlimited Easter Saturday annual days. Washington DC Paris '65 Shea Dreadful quality and very expensive.... Is anyone in contact with Fenno or knows how to contact him as I'm sure he would be a wealth of informat...
