Re: Complete Recording Sessions NEW UPDATES (Vol. 13 V2 available)
Help! Can anyone provide DDSI numbers for the tracks on the Let It Be Super Deluxe? It would be quite helpful. thanks in advance! The tracks were attributed to the relevant DDSI numbers in issue 4/5, volume 19 of the 910. If you don’t have that handy then I can transcribe them for you but it’s goin...

Re: Anthology Expanded
I’ve seen this advertised but just the front and back of the box, no detailed tracklisting. All that I could discern from the box was that it’s 16 discs with an explanatory booklet. If it is 16 discs then it rules out the VooDoo Anthology, which was three volumes of four discs. I didn’t dwell on it ...

Re: The Complete Beatles 1
Many thanks Bumblebee and thanks for the link to Juno Records. Perhaps there is more track information there. I did see the similar Stones set as well. Wonder if it's worth collecting. Juno don’t have that Beatles disc up yet. I do have the Doors set they did called Perception which is intelligentl...

Re: Quarry Men Kennsington Acetate copy on Ebay
That's certainly true of the replicas that John "Duff" Lowe got to legally sell in the nineties. But I'd like to think an inner circle copy from Paul in the eighties would actually be playable. If not, then you're basically paying $19,000 for an autograph. In black pen on black paper, no ...

Re: The Stones And Brian Jones
He seems to have been a imaginative guy. I mean, who would think of adding marimba to under my thumb? No one I suspect. But it really makes the song. Like The Beatles he was no great shakes as an instrumentalist but made up for it with inventiveness I think. And i always thought that while The Ston...

Re: The Stones And Brian Jones
It’s a good documentary, already bootlegged by FAB. Jones was an interesting character, really driven as far as the blues goes. You can see how his look inspired a whole host of sixties bands, particularly in the USA - just look at the Byrds when they first started out. Lennon claimed to have pulle...

Re: The Stones And Brian Jones
That Little One jam with Hendrix have nothing to do with Brian - it's Dave Mason from the Traffic. Surprised that Bill didn't know that. Tape has been mislabeled for years. Here is his actual "jam" with Hendrix during All Along The Watchtower and it's pretty abysmal. https://www.youtube.c...

Re: The Stones And Brian Jones
Thanks. I kind of got the impression from the website that it was new, guess it is quite old now. Not too sure about the Lennon story though! Pretty hard not to notice you're being tailed by a psychedleic Rolls, unless he was out of it and thought it was part of the trip! Sad stuff with his d...
