"Also I believe the good Purple Chick has upgraded his Buddy Holly set over at guitars101"

What is the date on the Buddy Holly update LR? The most recent one that I can find there is Jul 23, 2022.
BTW, another hearty thanks for all that you do here.

Re: Harry And His Box Set

I'm interested to know if these are the complete versions and the bootleggers faded them out early on purpose themselves or are they already like that on the tapes? They're not faded out. She taped each song from start to finish. I assume that you're talking about this abomination - it's one of the...

Me too.

Paul's got that same expression on his face here that he's got when he's standing next to Allan Klein signing that contract.

Also, IIRC, Paul's hair is silver as he's steering a boat in the unreleased version. In the released version he's dyed his hair a dark color and tells a lot of the same stories, albeit with darker hair (to be honest, he looks a lot older before the dye job).

Re: just bought a (possibly) rare new bootleg

Been looking at this reel to reel on eBay for a bit, and messaged the seller and see if he could give me a better price, 1000 dollars is just too much for me to buy with no snippet or no real evidence, he said he could come down to 200 and offered it at that price, I took the offer and bought it. I...

Re: Some Other Guy (LIVE at The Cavern Club) [*COLORIZED*]

I'm all for it, the black and white photography as being an artistic expression/intention of the creator is 100% valid but ONLY when it was truly intended to be black and white. Nine times out of 10 it was just black and white because that's all that was available and/or it was cheaper. They would ...

Re: Happy Easter from The Beatles!

LR, just wanted to express my thanks for this gem. It reminded me of why I liked them so much when I first heard them in 1963/64. Were you tempted to insert crowd noise after each song? I'm really glad that you left it as it was. What a treat!!

Excellent job LR, but the added harmonies sound a little bit low in the mix to me.
Keep up the great work!
