Re: Star Club photos & interesting stuff
A few more pix . . . and it sure must have been fascinating to spend time with Kingsize Taylor talking with him about the Hamburg days. The Little Richard image has Billy Preston on piano. Several images of Jerry Lee have Richie Blackmoore on guitar. There are so many images of the Star Club around...

Re: Red & Blue Albums
Sorry to say - WALRUS is absolutely shite... Day Tripper is a real rock song now - wow. (I dont like the "Day Tripper yeah" that they have twice in the outro while on the original it was only Yeah once - but this was similar on 1+")

Re: Real Love (new 2024 mix)
You know, i was thinking about all that and something funny occurred to me. There's this rumour that Yoko gave Paul a cassette tape of John's with "For Paul" written on it. But we know it couldn't have been the original N&T cassette because Weta had to get Sean Lennon to unearth it fro...

Re: Real Love (new 2024 mix)
Ok - some "flanging artifacts" on Johns voice in parts - but i love the tone and tempo of the voice. Sounds more natural.
I wished Giles get a lower generation tape of those to work as you did...

Re: Now And Then (merged threads)
The video is very emotional. OK - perhaps it would have look more "natural" if they tried to find footage of John and George around their last years - but likely there wasnt any and the emotional part would have been less. A technical brillant clip. I love the music, too. Seems Jackson saw...

Re: Now And Then (merged threads)
LMD - too much bass.
N&T - beautiful. Vocals a bit too loud. But on the other hand - the last 3 Beatles singles had John as a lead singer singing with head voice. Would not have been on Abbey Road. It would have had at least one by Paul... But for obvious reasons...
