I still think there is more to this story than we will ever know, it would make a great film though. Well, the updated story itself certainly appears to confirm that. I was rather astonished when I first read this update. Hardly the simple, "Oh, I think we might have your bass, here it is"...

How did this tape reach us? Lost Lennon Tapes? Mimi and John clearly had a difficult relationship and given the circumstances, it's hard to see how it could have been any other way (absent father, mother perhaps not fully capable, husband/uncle died when John aged just 14, his mother died just 3 ye...

Another thing they did was to change the pitch of John's vocals. Perhaps that is a reason he sounds different from the demo. His piano was out of tune; in 1995, they used capo's on their guitars to 'detune' their guitars (see the photo's), but in 2023 they didn't need them anymore. I suppose they us...

I still have CD's and CD-R's. There is no market for them, and dumping in the trash is too much of an emotional hurdle :oops:

I have ripped them all to my Network Drive and stream from there. So I can listen to anything, anywhere, on any device, as long as it is connected to my WiFi.
